Right to Rent States

During a renter's referencing journey we will keep you updated in HQ and there are different states you may see an applicant's Right to Rent section in.

Below we have outlined the different states and what they mean. If you require further explanation, please do not hesitate in contacting our referencing team and we can talk you through what you see.

Right to rent verification has not been requested yet. The renter will not begin this journey until you request this.

Right to rent has been requested and the renter has accepted the invite. The renter has yet to begin the journey.

Right to rent has been requested but the renter has declined the invite to complete their right to journey.

The renter has started the right to rent journey and this is being processed by the renter or our verification partners, IDnow.

The renter has completed the right to rent journey and there is a potential issue with the applicant's ID verification.

The renter has completed the journey and IDnow has verified their identity. You must now complete the remaining manual check of the right to rent check.

The renter has completed the journey and would like to provide their evidence in person. You must now complete the remaining manual check of the right to rent check.

The renter has completed their right to rent and you as the agent have completed the in-person check of the evidence.

The right to rent is complete but the document storage is expiring in 3 months. If the tenancy has been extended, you must update the tenancy end date.
